SPRING TERM 2012
(START- January 16th)

MONDAY
5.00pm-6.30pm: Competition 1
6.30pm-7.50pm: Adult Novice / Novice 2 (open for new dancers)

TUESDAY
5.10pm-6.30pm: Children Novice 2/Primary/Intermediate
6.30pm-7.50pm: Adult Primary 1 and 2/Intermediate

WEDNESDAY
5.00pm-5.45pm: Children Novice / Novice 2 (open for new dancers)
5.45pm-7.15pm:Competition 2/ Technique all levels

PLEASE NOTE: Classes are held at Copenhagen International School in Hellerup

Rules and regulations:

  • Students must meet in good time to change clothes BEFORE the class starts!
  • Students registered with DG may not attend classes in Irish dancing/"Riverdance" with other schools or teachers, unless it is agreed with DG´s teachers.
  • All steps and choreographies used in class belongs to DG and may not be used for any public performances etc.unless it has been arranged with the teachers.
  • Dances and choreographies taught in the classes may not be passed on to any dancer, who is not registered with DG.
  • Candy, chips, gum, mobile phones and toys should not be brought to class. If a student wish to keep their mobile phone with them to avoid theft it must be switched off for the duration of the class.
  • Dancers must meet for class in time to change clothes and shoes before the class starts.
    If you are prevented from coming to class teachers must be informed no later than 1 hour before tha class starts. If you are running more than 15 minutes late you must also inform the teachers.
  • Shorts or skirts no longer than above the knee must be worn in class. Long trousers or jeans will not be accepted as proper dance wear.
    Long hair must be tied up.
  • Students who wish to compete in feises and championships can do so if agreed with their teachers.
    Only the teachers can register a dancer for a feis and will also determine on what level the dancer can compete.
  • Students trasferred from another school/teacher may not use steps or dances from their previous classes at competitions, performances etc.

    Breaking the rules can cause suspension from class and in severe cases expellment from the school.

PRICES & CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Competition 1: (For dancers competing at intermediate /advanced level) kr. 1.300 DKK

Adult Novice / Novice 2: (2 levels: beginners continued from previous season and complete beginners- open for new dancers) kr. 1.300 DKK/1.000 DKK

Children Novice 2/Primary/Intermediate kr. 1.300 DKK

Adult Primary 1 and 2/Intermediate: (This term we will focus on show and figure dancing. Steps will be taught on different levels suiting the dancers) kr. 1.300 DKK.

Children Novice / Novice 2: (open for new dancers) kr. 800 DKK

Competition 2/ Technique all levels: for dancers who wish to practice for competition or gerenal improvement of steps already taught
General technique for all.kr. 1.300 DKK

Dancers attending competition 1 and 2, and teachnique must be prepared to work individually during class.

Trial lessons
Interested dancers are welcome to a trial lesson.
All trial lessons are 50 DKK each and a maximum of 2 trial lessons are allowed before signing up.
Trial lesson will NOT be deducted from the full class fee.
Trial lesson must be paid before the start of the class.

School registration fee: 50 DKK pr. dancer. If you paid your registration in August 2011 you will not need to pay now. ALL NEW DANCERS AND DANCERS WHO FAILED TO PAY IN AUGUST 2011 MUST PAY REGISTRATION BY JANUARY 10TH.

Extra class: 60 DKK pr. class

*Discounts and fees:
Total Class fees for a term above 3.500 DKK merits a 10% discount of the total fee.
Class fees can be paid in installments - however only class fees above 1300 DKK must be split.
1st installment deadline 10th of January 2012
2nd installment deadline 1st of April 2012
Siblings discount: 200 DKK pr. child

Registration is also possible after the start of a term.
Dark Green School of Irish Dancing holds the right to change the time schedule and cancel classes if neccesary.

Registration is binding for the whole term.

Holidays in the term:
Winter break week 7, February 13th-19th
Easter break week 14, April 2nd - 9th
Final class of term May 23rd
End of term show May 24th
